Floaters

Floaters are not uncommon and they will not result in vision loss. Floaters often happen with age and are noticeable when you look at a light area, such as a blank computer screen. They show as spider webs and dots that move around the central vision of your eye. Most people can live with floaters for many years before seeking treatment.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration often occurs with age and causes deterioration of the central part of the retina in the eye. This is the back area of the eye that records images, sending them to the brain. The central part of the retina is known as the macula, this is what makes it possible for you to recognise faces and colours, see the detail in objects, read and drive.

Blephartis

Blephartis is the inflammation of the eyelids, usually occurring in both eyes. It occurs along the edge of the eyelids where the tiny oil glands become clogged and cause irritation. It’s not uncommon for the eyelid to become flaky and dry.
